    Driver Requirements

    • All adult racers must be at least 5’1″. Junior racers must have a minimum height of 4'0" and a max height of 5'2". 
    • Photo ID (driver’s license or passport) is required to verify driver registration information. A driver’s license is not required to be able to race.
    • Speeders does not allow drivers to race who are suspected to be under the influence of any alcohol or drugs. We reserve the right to refuse service should a staff member suspect a driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In the case of alcohol, we reserve the right to administer breathalyzer tests.
    • All drivers must register at our registration kiosk and sign a waiver.
    • All minor drivers must have their waiver countersigned by a parent or adult guardian at our registration kiosk.
    • All new drivers must attend our safety briefing outlining racing rules, racing flags and kart operation before their first race.
    • Clothing to bring:
      • Wear or bring clean, dry, indoor closed toed shoes (running or sneakers). Outside work boots (snow or mud covered), high heels or sandals will not be permitted. It is inadvisable to wear a dress or other loose-fitting clothing. We recommend racing in pants, jeans or shorts.

    Racing Rules

    All drivers must obey the rules of the track, detailed as follows:

    • You must wear a safety helmet and balaclava if you are using one of the helmets we provide.
    • You must attend the driver safety briefing when asked to do so.
    • Always obey the marshal’s instructions—their decision is final
    • Remain in your kart at all times unless instructed otherwise.
    • No Bumping other karts or the barriers
    • Obey all signs and flags, as explained in the safety briefing
    • Aggressive behaviour, including bad language, towards other customers or to Speeders staff is not tolerated.

    Exclusion from Venue

    1. Speeders reserves the right to cancel a booked event or exclude drivers and/or spectators and visitors from the premises with no refund under the following circumstances:
      • They are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
      • They are wearing clothing likely to cause offence.
      • They are considered to be a danger to themselves or others.
      • They are displaying aggressive or abusive behaviour (physical or verbal) on and off the track. This includes staff, other drivers and/or spectators.

    Event Bookings (8+ people)

    1. Remaining Balance
      • The remaining balance (if any) must be cleared up prior to the start of your race. We are unable to accommodate separate payments from individual drivers. The event organizer is required to pay any remaining balance for the event and have the individuals themselves pay back the organizer.
    2. Attendance Policy
      • The total price for the event at the time of the booking confirmation will be due even if fewer drivers attend, participate, or retire early. We reserve a certain length of time and amount of track space for your group based on the number of confirmed drivers you provided to us at the time of booking.
    3. Arrival Time
      • Arrive thirty minutes prior to your race start time to ensure enough time to sign waivers, lock up valuables in our free lockers and begin your safety briefing.
      • If your group arrives late or you are unable to start on time, we reserve the right to delay your race schedule in order to maintain the schedule for other groups that are on time. The reverse is also true, if your group is on time and another is late, they will wait as we try our best to keep your event running on time.
    4. Rescheduling/Cancellations
      • Bookings that have been confirmed can be rescheduled given at least 48 HOURS notice is given. The event can be rescheduled anytime within 1 calendar year. The deposit will be kept on-hand and will not be refunded.
      • Bookings that have been confirmed cannot be cancelled, regardless of notice given. If the event is not rescheduled within one calendar year, the deposit is forfeited.
      • A full refund of all monies paid will be returned to the event organizer if Speeders is unable to provide the booked event for logistical reasons.
    5. Incidental & Damage Deposits:
      • A credit card pre-authorization of $500 is our policy. Your group is responsible for their actions on the track, which includes but is not limited to any damages that occur to our equipment during your racing. This deposit acts as a reminder for all to drive carefully, use our safety guidelines and follow the directions of our race marshal.
    6. Food & Drink Policy:
      • We do not allow outside food or drink in the main spectator area. We carry bottled water, soft drinks, chips and chocolate bars on-site. If you would like to bring food or catering in, please speak to our events team about booking a conference room.
    7. Bookings are only confirmed once the appropriate deposits are paid.
    8. Bookings cannot be transferred or resold.

    Standard Online Bookings (1-7 people)

    1. Remaining Balance
      • The remaining balance (if any) must be cleared up prior to the start of your race. We are unable to accommodate separate payments from individual drivers. The event organizer is required to pay any remaining balance for the event and have the individuals themselves pay back the organizer.
    2. Attendance Policy
      • The total price for the event at the time of the booking confirmation will be due even if fewer drivers attend, participate, or retire early. If fewer drivers show up than were booked, racing credits for those that do not show up can be transferred to the accounts of drivers that do show up. These racing credits do not expire and can be used at any Speeders location.
    3. Arrival Time
      • Arrive thirty minutes prior to your race start time to ensure enough time to sign waivers, lock up valuables in our free lockers and begin your safety briefing.
      • If you or other members of your booking arrive late or you are unable to start on time, we reserve the right to delay your race schedule in order to maintain the schedule for other groups that are on time. The reverse is also true, if your group is on time and another is late, they will wait as we try our best to keep your booking runs on time.
    4. Rescheduling/Cancellations
      • Bookings that have been confirmed can be rescheduled given at least 48 HOURS notice is given. The booking can be rescheduled anytime within 1 calendar year. Refunds will not be provide to
      • Bookings that have been confirmed cannot be cancelled, regardless of notice given. If the event is not rescheduled within one calendar year, the deposit is forfeited.
      • A full refund of all monies paid will be returned to the event organizer if Speeders is unable to provide the booked event for logistical reasons.
    5. Bookings are only confirmed once the full amount or applicable deposits has been paid.
    6. Bookings cannot be transferred or resold.
