How fast are the karts at Speeders?
Our 20-horsepower electric go-karts have instant torque and are capable of speeds of over 70 km per hour.
-
What is the difference between your karts and other gas or electric karts?
Our karts are among the most powerful rental karts on the market, produced by a company dedicated exclusively to electric for over 25 years.
The major difference between gas and electric is the power source. Our electric propulsion karts accelerate faster, and smoother and generally offer more consistent performance than other electric variations and even gas-powered engines. Additionally, they produce zero emissions or smells. These karts will also keep you and the race track clean because there is no gas or oil that could spill onto the track.
-
Is racing at Speeders safe?
Speeders takes every measure possible to ensure all customers enjoy an authentic racing experience in a safe environment. All our karts are routinely serviced and our barrier systems are the safest in the industry. All races are proactively monitored by a trained race marshal, and any driver found to not be racing responsibly can either have their kart speed decreased remotely or can be ejected from the race.
Prior to their first race, every new driver is required to watch a short video that covers track safety, racing rules, flag and sign meanings, and kart operation. In addition, each racer is required to wear a DOT-approved helmet equipped with a visor or goggles (provided for each racer).
-
Can I wear my own helmet?
Yes, we highly encourage customers to bring their own helmets. All helmets must be Snell/DOT-approved. If the sticker is not clearly visible, the helmet will not be allowed. All helmets must also have a full-face cover and include a visor or goggles.
-
What clothing should I wear to Speaders?
All drivers are required to wear closed-toe shoes. Sandals or any other open-toe shoes are not permitted on the track. Shoe rentals are available at reception, if needed. Loose-flowing garments such as scarves or dresses should not be worn. We recommend dressing casually in a shirt with jeans or shorts.
